Stealing Your Style
Do you have a “black hole” in the back of your wardrobe? Or a “sock fairy” who steals socks from the washing leaving you with odd socks! Sometimes you just can’t find the things you know you’ve got and they seem to have disappeared without a trace! Funnily enough a few of my customers have had the same issue but we’ve finally found out where those things have gone and the answer is ……..
…… somebody else’s wardrobe – often a teenager and usually someone who lives in the same home!
A few people have told me that they just can’t find their favourite pieces from Tortue and think they have “lost” them out and about – maybe taken a jacket off and left it on the back of a chair in a café only to find 3 months later that their favourite pieces are stashed away in the back of their teenage daughters wardrobe and they have been wearing them to college!
I can remember popping home from school at lunchtime to “borrow” my Mum’s nice black stiletto kitten heels to wear to school for the rest of the day before putting them back in her wardrobe before she got home from work so that she “never knew”. I don’t know whether she did know and didn’t say anything or whether she really did never know …
I love how our gorgeous Tortue items appeal to women of all ages from teenagers all the way up to Octogenerians (and older too!) It’s a generation thing and I love seeing how different people style and wear our garments as you really can have 5 people stood in a row wearing the same thing but it looks different on every single person and all equally fab!
